I’m a filmmaker, cinematographer and educator based in Milton Keynes, working across the UK, Europe and China.

For over 15 years, I’ve made films in corporate, documentary and higher education settings. My work includes projects for the RAF, Marsh, Reckitt, Nottinghamshire County Council, Santander and the UK Government’s NHS Test and Trace programme. My career has taken me from Chinese documentary television to media production roles at BizClik Media and King’s College London, each bringing a different perspective to the way I approach filmmaking.

I’m often involved from the first conversation onwards, through filming, editing, colour grading and graphics. I enjoy directing people who don’t spend much time in front of a camera. I’ve filmed professors, CEOs, senior officials, station commanders and members of the House of Lords. I love helping people feel comfortable enough to speak in their own way, especially when we’re working to a tight schedule.

My filmmaking approach is documentary at heart. I’m drawn to the spontaneous, unrehearsed moments that make a story feel authentic. My journey began with a bachelor’s degree in animation, followed by work in Chinese documentary television and an MA in Film Production. Animation trained me to think about framing, timing and storyboards, and documentary work taught me to pay attention to detail. Those experiences continue to shape how I approach a story.

Alongside Evelyn Huang Films, I work as a Media Producer at King’s College London, creating educational content for students. Evelyn Huang Films is my independent filmmaking practice, separate from my employed role at King’s.

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll find me rock climbing – from the Peak District, the Lake District and Wales to Greece. Climbing is a lot like location filming: a planning and problem-solving process to reach the result you want. I bring the same persistence to my work.
